Lack Of Water Closes Verdigris Schools Thursday

Verdigris Public Schools are closed Thursday.

School officials say Rogers County Rural Water #5 informed them it was shutting off water to the school, so they canceled classes for the day.  

The water district says the reason is a break in an eight-inch water line that feeds the south part of Verdigris and the school campus.  Officials hope to have the line replaced and fixed by noon Thursday.  

Verdigris is located southwest of Claremore.
