Police say a man was shot and killed inside a Tulsa home early Thursday.

Officers said they were called to a home in the 2000 block of East Young Place just before 3 a.m.  At the home, they found a 31-year-old man dead in a back bedroom.

Police Sgt. Dave Walker said a 27-year-old woman called police and said the man was breaking into her home through a bedroom window.  Walker said the man was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Walker says the man and woman share four children, and the relationship has a history of domestic abuse. Police tell us there were five children and several adults at the home when the deadly shooting took place.

Police have recovered two handguns from the bedroom where the man was shot, and investigators are interviewing the woman and two other adults who were in the home at the time.

Walker said they've learned the man was brought to the house by another person before the shooting.

Police says the woman's children are now with relatives.

Walker said officers interviewed the woman and she was released. No arrests are anticipated, Walker said, but the investigation is ongoing.

Walker said this is Tulsa's fourth homicide of 2016.
