Modified Lockdown Lifted After Some Tulsa Schools Take Precautions

Tulsa Public Schools confirms that several campuses in north Tulsa were on a modified lockdown late Thursday morning, but it was lifted just after 11 a.m.

A spokesperson said the precaution was taken while police investigated reports of shots fired.

The schools affected were in the area of North Sheridan and Admiral, including McKinley Middle School, Hamilton and Bell elementary schools and Tulsa MET. Tulsa Police and TPS campus police are investigating.
