The Centralia Volunteer Fire Department has set a Gofundme account from one of its firefighters who was struck by a car while fighting a grass fire on Thursday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jeff Mueller was unraveling a fire hose from a truck parked on the side of Highway 60 east of Nowata when he was hit.

He was taken to a Tulsa hospital after the impact.  They said Mueller sustained multiple fractures of his leg.

The fire department says Mueller works in the ranching industry and the Gofundme account will help offset some of the expense and potential loss of income.
