Firefighter Hit By Car At Nowata Fire Describes What Happened

A Centralia firefighter struck by a car in Nowata County last week is recovering.  

Jeff Mueller was pulling a hose out of a fire truck on Highway 60 east of Nowata on February 18 when he was hit.The OHP said the fire truck was parked on the side of the highway with its emergency lights on at the time.

Mueller was flown to a Tulsa hospital and had surgery on his broken leg.
