Crews Fight Wagoner County Grass Fire

Wagoner County Emergency Manager Heath Underwood confirms firefighters are battling a large grass fire east of Porter.  About 200 to 300 acres have burned on Saturday, he said.

Five homes are in the path of the fire but not in imminent danger. 

It started sometime around noon, near 365th E. Ave and 231st Street South.

Much of central Oklahoma remains under a Fire Weather Watch. Officials are urging people not to do any outside burning, as the conditions will cause fire to spread rapidly.
