Owasso residents are planning a remembrance ceremony to celebrate the lives of the Buckner family. Vic Buckner, wife Kimberly, daughters Kaitlin and Emma and son Alex will be remembered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Creek Park, according to a Facebook post.

Elm Creek Park is located at 12501 East 77th Street North.

A post on Owassoisms states the park was popular with the family who walked the track and played in the area before moving to Arizona where they were killed earlier this month.

"We ask that you wear Batman, VS PINK, Fast and Furious, or any type of vehicle apparel. If bringing small children, we would love to see them wearing Disney (especially princesses or Frozen) as it was Emma's favorite," the open invitation reads.

Police say Alex Buckner, who had a history of mental health problems, shot his family members before being killed by police. The open invitation to Tuesday night's Owasso ceremony also includes the troubled young man.

There will be a place to donate money that will be going towards a bench to be placed at the park in the future in memory of all five members of the Buckner family.
