Police say two men are in jail after allegedly kidnapping a man in midtown Tulsa Monday.

Officers got the call at about 9:30 p.m.  The father of the victim told police he was supposed to bring money to Joshua Bruce and Jeremiah Jones before 11:30 p.m. or his son would be killed.

When police arrived in the 5000 block of South Peoria where the father was to bring the money, officers recognized a vehicle "tha looked out of place," and rescued the hostage.

The victim told officers he was assaulted, taken from an apartment against his will and threatened unless he paid a financial debt.

Police arrested the two men, Jeremiah Jones, 42, and Joshua Bruce, 32, and booked both into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.

Jail records showed both have a court appearance set for March 8.
