Theft Of Drugs From Broken Arrow Hospital's ER Leads To Arrest

Broken Arrow Police arrested a Coweta woman Friday after they say she stole medicine and other items from a hospital emergency room medical carts.

Officers said in their report, Lauren Nelson, 30, was in the St. John Hospital's emergency room in the 1000 block of West Boise Circle with her husband who was being seen by doctors.

ER nurses notified security after seeing Nelson and her husband leave with a patient belonging bag and the ER's "crash carts" vandalized.  When questioned, police said Lauren Nelson confessed to the theft.  

Police arrested and booked her into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of second-degree burglary and theft of a controlled drug.  Jail records show Lauren Nelson has a court appearance set for March 18.
