"Running out on the court I think VCU just played Stephen F. Austin and everyone kind of stopped just seeing how big the arena was, how many people were there and playing UCLA in San Diego which was like a home game for them," explained Rashad Smith.
Tulsa Head Coach Frank Haith says the team is fortunate to have had guys play in the NCAA Tournament before.
“They've played in some big games before so there's no question that that's a plus,” he stated.

But what the seniors relish the most is a second chance.
"We're very fortunate,” said senior guard Shaq Harrison. “We're very happy to be here. This is a tournament you look up to as a little kid that when you want to play Division I basketball you think of the NCAA Tournament, so it's just a real honor to be here."
Rashad Ray says the Golden Hurricane will play to the best of their ability in hopes of advancing to the next round.
Experience matters and TU has nine seniors compared to Michigan’s two who are out injured.
