Man Charged In Tulsa Nightclub Fatal Shooting Surrenders To Police

A murder suspect is now in the Tulsa County jail.  Police say Damion Cooper, 23, found out in the media that he was wanted for a deadly shooting a week ago at a popular nightclub, so he turned himself in.  

Investigators believe Cooper opened fire at The Spot in the 4300 block of East Pine just after 3 a.m. on March 12.  Police say there were over 300 people in the club at the time.

Damion Cooper is charged with first-degree murder.

Jamarko Ward was shot multiple times.  He died a few days later from his wounds.  Two other women were also shot.  They are both recovering.

Jail records show Damion Cooper is being held in jail with a court appearance set for March 28.
