TULSA, Oklahoma - Three teens were arrested for drug and weapons offenses outside the Tulsa Zoo Sunday, records show.  Police were out patrolling Mohawk Park and the zoo parking lot Sunday when they spotted a suspicious vehicle.

Authorities say they see an increase in car burglaries and other crimes in area parks this time of year and increase their patrols - both in marked and unmarked vehicle.

Officers saw a gold-colored Chrysler 300 parked with three young males inside and stopped to investigate.

As they got closer, police said they smelled marijuana. The three teenage boys were arrested on several complaints including possession of marijuana with intent, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a controlled drug with 1,000 feet of a park.

No names have been released.
