Brad Underwood has signed his first player as head coach of the Oklahoma State men's basketball team.

Brandon Averette, a 5'11" standout guard at Richardson High school who is considered one of the top 20 players in the state of Texas, is headed to Stillwater.

Averette announced his commitment via Twitter earlier this week, tweeting, “I thank God for this opportunity, and I'm blessed to say I have committed to play basketball at Oklahoma State.”

Averette committed  to Stephen F. Austin under Underwood, but when Underwood announced his decision to take the head coaching job with the Cowboys, the star guard followed.

As a senior, he averaged 22.6 points, six assists, 4.6 rebounds and was named the 10-6A MVP.
