A kidnapped Utah toddler was found in Tulsa on Tuesday night, according to the sheriff’s office.

A news release says a Tulsa FBI agent contacted deputies about the suspect, who was thought to be in Tulsa. Donna Jones was wanted in Utah for the kidnapping of her 1-year-old grandson.

After some follow-up with a detective with the Heber City Police Department in Utah, TCSO deputies responded to the 7700 block of N Sheridan and found Jones and the child, they said.

She was arrested on a kidnapping warrant and booked into Tulsa County jail as a captured fugitive and is expected to be extradited to Utah.

The child was taken to Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office in good health until DHS could respond after a tornado warning expired.

There were no major incidents to report during the arrest or the child recovery, TCSO said.
