Every Thursday for nearly three years, Night Light Tulsa has met under the bridge at Maybelle and Brady to feed the community.

Now, the non-profit is in need of help after a truck was stolen late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The items on the stolen truck are things the group needs every week.

"So, at some point over night, somebody had gotten into the truck and drove it right out of the parking lot," said Anisa Jackson with Night Light Tulsa.

The non-profit just started storing items in a building; the truck was in the parking lot when it was stolen, along with all of the chairs, tables, grills, generators and portable lights inside.

"Kinda broke our hearts a little bit that that would happen and someone take something that we think is a necessity," Jackson said.

Jackson said when she found out about the theft, she thought someone stole nightlight, but soon realized that wasn’t the case.

"I realized very quickly how ridiculous that was because Night Light isn't generators, it's not tables it’s not our lights," Jackson said. She said Night Light is about the people like Major Edmundson.

"If you're out there and you hear this, find it in your heart to bring it back," Edmundson said.

Since sharing the news of the stolen truck on Facebook, help has poured in. Christ the King church donated tables and chairs, and Andolinis Pizza donated food.

Although things aren't running as usual, it's enough to light up a few spirits.

The truck is an old Penske moving truck, license plate E72983. It’s yellow and the Penske is painted over.

If you've seen it, you're asked to call police.
