How many good ideas have died because the person who had them couldn't get them to market?

Well now, thanks to Kitchen 66, Tulsa food entrepreneurs have a place to test out their ideas.

“We are a ‘kickstart kitchen.’ We're here to help food entrepreneurs get started," said program director, Adele Beasley. "We've had over 150 applicants to the program."

People with food ideas they'd like to market if they only knew how.

"We wanted a refreshing cold drink you could drink on a hot day," they said.

Earlier in the year, a group of experts and advisors listened to various pitches and ideas. They selected a handful or so and they've been working with them for a few months.

Beasley said, "We help with the business side, we help with the marketing side, and we also provide commercial kitchen space as well."

Tuesday was a formal open house to introduce Kitchen 66's spring launch companies and to check out their products.

Kitchen 66 is open in the Sunoco Building at 9th and Detroit, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
