Investigators are trying to determine how two separate Sapulpa house fires started late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
At around 10:30 p.m. the Sapulpa Fire Department was sent to a vacant house on fire at Hickory and Burnham. They say a firefighter was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation from that fire. He is expected to be OK.
A few hours later, firefighters say another home in the 5400 block of Dogwood near the Creek Turnpike caught fire. They said two people were home at the time, but were able to get outside with their two pets before the fire department arrived.
Firefighters believe this fire started in a bathroom. Thirty-percent of the home suffered fire and smoke damage.
