A Sapulpa man was killed when troopers say his truck was forced off the road during a pursuit early Sunday in Seminole County. Dead is 44-year-old Alexander Larmon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the wreck took place during a high-speed chase on Interstate 40 just after midnight. Trooper Jonathan Earls performed tactical vehicle intervention to stop Larmon who lost control of his GMC pickup, according to OHP. A collision report states Larmon's truck truck rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its top.

Larmon, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Creek Nation EMS. The trooper wasn't hurt.

OHP said Larmon smelled of an alcoholic beverage. The wreck is under investigation.
