Sunshine is peeking back through as we head into Memorial Day afternoon. But, with that afternoon heating comes the continued chance for those pesky pop-up storms, so be aware!

Much like Sunday afternoon, not everyone will see a storm today. But, any storms that do develop will have the potential to produce locally very heavy rain, frequent lightning, and perhaps small hail as well. Keep a close eye to the sky if you have any outdoor plans, particularly out on any area lakes with lightning a continued threat. It’ll be another warm and humid afternoon with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s by late in the afternoon.

Pop-up storm chances look to slowly decrease this evening as we lose daytime heating, leading to what should be a fairly calm evening and hopefully a good end to the Tulsa International Balloon Festival as well!st

Storm chances do return on Tuesday and Wednesday, with storms once again likely and some locally heavy rain possible, so don’t put away the umbrellas yet!
