A 35-year-old man was taken into custody after a standoff with Broken Arrow Police at a home Tuesday morning.

Officers said at about 6:30 a.m. police were called to a home in the 4500 block of South 214th East Avenue to investigate a domestic assault and battery.

Police said a woman had gone to the police department alleging her former boyfriend, Tyler Paulsen had assaulted her and tried to strangle her.

Just after 11 a.m. police said Paulsen walked out of the home and was placed under arrest.  They said Tyler Paulsen was booked into the city jail on complaints including domestic assault and battery and will be taken to the Wagoner County jail.

Police said no shot were fired during the standoff.
