Police: Woman In Custody After Stabbing At Tulsa Apartment

Police say a man is in serious condition, after his girlfriend stabbed him at a Tulsa apartment complex. 

Police say the stabbing happened on the south side of the Sierra Pointe apartment complex. The call came in around 3:30 Thursday morning, when officers say a 26-year-old woman stabbed her 30-year-old boyfriend in the neck.

We have exclusive video of the woman being arrested and taken in for questioning by detectives. Police say the fight started outside before moving into the apartment.

"There was some type of disturbance over the female coming home late. It started out as verbal and subsequently became physical," said Officer Leland Ashley, Tulsa Police Department.

Ashley said there was a toddler inside the apartment who saw it all happen but was not hurt. He said he thought it was traumatizing for the child to witness someone being injured or even just the physical fight.

Tulsa Police say whenever you see domestic violence happening, it's never a bad idea to get police involved.

"You can tell 'I don't want the police to come by my house' or 'I don't wanna be seen by police' but this is going on outside," Ashley said.  "It's always best to get us involved earlier than later."

Police say they're still looking into what exactly led up to the stabbing.
