South Tulsa Shooting Was Accidental, Self-Inflicted, Police Say

Tulsa police confirmed to News On 6 that a shooting at 66th and Rockford on Saturday was self-inflicted.

Two people -- a juvenile female and a male -- were taken into custody around 3 p.m., but two hours later, investigators announced they were being released after it was determined to be an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police say the victim, a 20-year-old man, was playing with a gun and shot himself through the lower chin.

The victim is expected to survive, TPD says.
