New documents were filed on Thursday against a daycare employee who allegedly left a 4-year-old locked inside a hot van for hours.

We reported on the incident earlier this week.

A Rogers County affidavit says Troy-Lynn Kordatzky, 52, failed to follow the Claremore daycare’s protocol, which led to child neglect.

According to the affidavit, Kordatzky did not take roll call after a field trip on June 2.

“[Kordatzky] made a checkmark notation by the child’s name” as if the child left the van and returned to the classroom, the affidavit says.

The mother of the child found her locked inside the van two hours later and the girl was “sweating profusely, had a red face and was crying.”

Authorities say the temperature outside was approximately 80 degrees. Experts say that means the temperature inside a car easily can reach 100 degrees after 10 minutes, and upward to 115 degrees in 30 minutes.

According to the mother, the child also has made multiple statements about being scared to go back to the daycare, the affidavit says.
