Tulsa Police said car burglars shot at a man who confronted them Monday morning. Police were called to the Boulder Ridge Apartments, 31st and 145th East Avenue.
Police say the victim took someone to work then returned to the parking lot. He saw two men around his mother's car with the hatch raised.
The apartment resident confronted the men, telling them it was his mother's car. The man's mother told News On 6, her son then saw a burglar reach into his waistband to pull out a gun.
He jumped into his SUV, and that's when the burglars fired several rounds at his vehicle, breaking the rear window.
One bullet hit the seat of the vehicle, police said, but the man wasn't hit.
The two men got away, according to TPD.
