The number of mosquitos found with West Nile Virus in Tulsa County continues to climb.

The health department says as of June 17th, 16 of its trap samples have tested positive for WNV.  When the testing began in May, their first report showed only seven of their traps had positive West Nile Virus samples.

The department has an active program to track and treated areas for the West Nile Virus.  It says it has surveyed and treated for mosquitoes across 55 square miles of Tulsa County.
