A heat advisory is in effect this afternoon for Green Country counties, including Tulsa County. Heat index values will have the potential to reach around 105. Shower and storm chances will increase this evening as a cool front approaches.

Highest chances for showers and storms will be along the Oklahoma/Kansas state line. Shower and storm activity could reach as far south as I-40, but the strongest storms should be in our northernmost counties.

The cool front will continue to sink through the area on Monday with additional chances for showers and storms. Activity on Monday should be more widespread and come in two rounds. The first round in the morning and the second round for late in the day. Showers and storms could linger into Tuesday. The northeastern corner of the state will be mostly dry on Tuesday.

Higher chances of rain and storms will be west and southeast of Tulsa.

Highs will stay close to normal in the low 90s for mid-week. Driest day of the week should be Wednesday. With northwest flow aloft, we will see several waves of rain and storms by the end of work week and next weekend. Highest rain and storm chances will be Thursday through Saturday but we have to leave a low end chance for the end of our holiday weekend.
