Watts Woman Hospitalized After Crashing Into Tree

A Watts woman was transported by medical helicopter on Sunday after crashing an SUV in Cherokee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says.

The collision took place just before 3 p.m. on Highway 20, 2 miles north of Tahlequah.

OHP says Colleen Crookes, 60, was southbound when she departed the roadway, struck a tree and rolled one and a half times with the SUV landing on its top.

OHP says the cause of the collision is under investigation.

Crookes condition is unknown.
