Tulsa police have a fugitive in custody on Friday morning. After cornering him inside a home near 15th and Columbia.

Police say they went to serve a warrant on Michael Burrow, but when he spotted the officers he ran back into his home and didn't come out for at least two hours.

Burrow was wanted for felony domestic assault and escape.

His girlfriend and dog were inside the home with him for a while but eventually made it out safely.

Officers say once they got out, they used pepper balls and the heat might have played a part to get Burrow out of the attic where he had been hiding.

Police alerted neighbors and shut down the street while that was happening just for a safety precaution.

Burrow also will now face charges of resisting arrest.
