City To Collect Greenwaste In Areas Impacted By Recent Windstorm

The City of Tulsa announced Tuesday it will begin a special greenwaste collection for the impacted by the July 14th windstorm.

According to a news release, the special collection will begin Monday, July 25th for residents south of 41st Street and east of the Arkansas River, extending to the eastern and southern Tulsa City limit boundaries.

The release says crews will start at 41st Street South and move south. The City expects the collection to take 45-60 days.

Director of Tulsa Streets and Stormwater, Terry Ball, said the storm impacted nearly 53 square miles and asks residents for to remain patient as they make the sweep.

Residents can keep updated here with where crews will be working during the sweep.

Greenwaste should be within four feet of the curb and away from utilities and fire hydrants.

The City also said the Mulch Site is also free from Tulsa residents. The site is at 2100 North 145th East Avenue and is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A current driver’s license or City of Tulsa utility bill with a Tulsa address is required.
