DEWEY, Oklahoma - Dewey police say a man was arrested in connection to the death of his grandmother.

Dewey police chief, Mike Shea, said police received a call around 4:30 Wednesday morning from Donald Wayne Shimko saying he found his 64-year-old grandmother, Alvita Shimko, dead.

Police found that Alvita had died of blunt force trauma to her head.

Wednesday afternoon, Dewey police say they arrested Donald Shimko for second-degree murder.

Police said no motive has been established.

They said they are not currently looking for any additional suspects.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Dewey police with the investigation.
