Claremore Firefighter Accused Of Cutting Ex-Girlfriend's Brake Lines

Claremore police arrested a firefighter who officers say cut the brake lines on an ex-girlfriend's car.

According to reports, a co-worker of Kyle Stephens said he got a call from Stephens who said he had cut the lines around 5:00 a.m. on August 13.

Another co-worker said he saw Stephens at the fire station around that time and said Stephens had grease and/or oil on him as if he had been working on a car, the report says.

Officers said they made contact with the victim, checked her car and said all four brake lines had been cut.

The women told police she had been in a relationship with Stephens and said he had started acting jealous and harassing her over her new boyfriend.

According to reports, officers asked Stephens if he cut the lines out or revenge and he said he wouldn’t admit to cutting the lines, but that he was trying to get back what was his.
