Juvenile Critical After Tulsa Hit And Run Crash

Police say a juvenile male was taken to a Tulsa hospital after a driver struck him and drove away early Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 7000 block of East 81st near Sheridan just after midnight about an auto-pedestrian crash.  They arrived to find a juvenile lying in the roadway and a witness who called police trying to help the victim.

The witness told officers, a westbound dark brown Chevy pickup hit the juvenile, then turned north on 70th East Avenue and sped off.

EMSA took the victim, which police said was in critical condition to the hospital. 

The name or age of the victim was not released.
