Police are looking for suspects after a woman's body was found in a dumpster at a Tulsa apartment complex early Friday morning.

According to police, a man called police and reported his 19-year-old girlfriend was missing. He told officers he'd gone to the Bradford Apartments in the 500 block of East 32nd Street North to check on her but couldn't find her.

Before police could assign an officer to the case, he called back, telling them he'd found her body in a dumpster.

The TPD said they're trying to figure out how the victim died and why she was placed in the dumpster.

"When was she last seen? Who was the last individual that spoke with her? We start with a timeline and we go back," said Officer Leland Ashley.

The victim's boyfriend was taken in for questioning but was treated as a witness, detectives said.

TPD talked with several neighbors and hope to hear from anyone who may have seen something.
