Our seasonal transition month continues with a brief taste of fall weather this weekend.

A cool front moving though early Saturday and ushered in drier air and a cool north breeze for the rest of the day. Highs today will feel more like late September or early October. The metro could manage to top out at 80 but areas north and east will be slightly cooler, in the upper 70s. Skies will continue clearing during the day from the north to south.

With clear skies, dry air and light winds, we are in store for a cool Sunday morning! Morning lows in the 50s will be common across Green Country, but locations especially north and east of Tulsa could even bottom out in the upper 40s.

It’s just a brief taste of fall. Temperatures will gradually warm back into the low 90s for daytime highs on Monday.

As high pressure at the surface slides off the east, we’ll see more of a southeast wind ushering in moisture. Humid conditions will be back by Tuesday just in time for another cool front to move in. Showers and storms should return to our area by late in the day on Tuesday.

An unsettled pattern will begin to take shape with daily rain and storm chances through next weekend. As of now, the highest chances for rain will be on Friday and Saturday.
