A Ponca City woman was critically injured when she was ejected from her SUV as it rolled after she swerved to miss an animal in the road in Osage County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Lisa Ann Sloan, 46, was driving her 2007 Jeep westbound on Highway 60 east of Burbank Landing when she swerved to miss an animal in the road, the OHP report states.
Sloan’s vehicle departed the roadway to the left and collided with a guardrail before rolling an unknown number of times before coming to a rest on its wheels.
Sloan was ejected an unknown distance, the report states.
She was transported to the Ponca City hospital then transferred to St. John hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in critical condition with head and trunk internal injuries.
The airbag in Sloan’s vehicle did not deploy and Sloan was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the OHP.
