TULSA, Oklahoma - The final plans are still being crafted, but a large crowd is expected Saturday for the funeral of Terence Crutcher.

The funeral is open to the public, though the church has limited space. Partly because of that, the public is being asked to arrive early and line up outside.

Jamaal Dyer with Dyer Memorial Chapel said the arrangements involve several churches, his family's funeral service and the Crutcher family.

The first thing is at New Heights Christian Church - the family visitation and viewing of the body from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be Saturday evening starting at 7 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.

"And what we're asking for the community is that those who want to pay their respects, starting at 6 p.m., we'd like them to line up on both sides of the street and do their well-wishes, so as we come into the church to do their processional, they would be there to give the family their condolences,” Dyer said.

The unusual time of Saturday night for the funeral means the burial will be later, on Monday.

While the visitation and funeral are open to the public the burial will be in private.

Dyer said, "The burial will be Monday for the family, to have that final time with their loved one."

The Crutcher family is still working out the details of the Saturday night service and helping plan a public rally that's expected to be sometime Tuesday.
