Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump met face-to-face at Hofstra University in New York Monday night.

Millions of Americans watched on TV, and there were several watch parties across Green Country.

The candidates were asked several questions on trade policies, the recent police shootings in Tulsa and Charlotte, cyber security and more.

At Oral Roberts University, millennials got involved with politics and watch the debate Monday night. The last time many of the students saw a debate they were under 18 and couldn't vote.

The students packed the Union/Alumni Center where Republicans and Democrats heard pitches from both candidates during the debate.

ORU Republican student, Ian Sevier said, "We need someone that is not afraid to speak his mind and that's exactly what everyone else is expecting, that's what we need right now."

"I like all the factual things that she's been saying, and it's not like it's just her opinion on things, it's more like she researched," said Democratic student Thuy Newborne.

The next debate will be between Clinton and Trump running mates Tim Cain and Mike Pence on October 4th.
