A traffic stop led to a drug bust in Okmulgee County Sunday.

According to the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Department, a 2016 Nissan van going east on Interstate 40 was pulled over.

During the stop, deputies found about 15 pounds of “hydro-processed marijuana.” They say the street value is about $35,000.

They also found a dog kenneled in the back seat of the van.

Deputies said the driver, 29-year-old Deontray Chainley, and passenger, 23-year-old Jared Rickenbach, were traveling from Oakland, California to Memphis, Tennessee.

Both men were booked into the Okmulgee County jail on complaints of possession of CDS with intent to distribute and animal neglect.

They said Chainley was also booked for driving under suspension.
