Parents of Broken Arrow marching band students are volunteering their time at the Tulsa State Fair to help raise money to send the kids to the Rose Parade.

The parents and other adults are volunteering their time at a concessions booth that sells a variety of snacks and other items, including beer.

The trip will cost about $3,500 per band student.

To help them reach their goals, parents are volunteering to work certain beer booths - some of the money from sales and tips will be donated to the band.

"I know my daughter is excited,” said BA band mom, Tanya Palmer. “She's ready to march down the Rose Bowl parade, and I'm really excited, and really excited for the group."

You can also donate to the band here.

Broken Arrow Public Schools Officials said that only adults over the age of 21 are working the booth and that students aren't allowed to work at the booth.
