A spring-like storm system is expected to bring severe weather to parts of Oklahoma starting late in the afternoon and lasting into tonight. Storms are likely to fire along a boundary in west-central Oklahoma and spread northeastward this evening, reaching parts of Green Country as early as sunset.

WARN Interactive Radar

Some of these storms will be capable of high winds, large hail and an isolated tornado, especially west of Tulsa through 10pm.  These storms may form into a squall line later tonight and overspread parts of northeast Oklahoma late tonight into early Friday.

Weather Alerts

These would mainly pose a threat for high winds and localized flash flooding.  The threat for severe weather in Tulsa will be primarily from 8pm this evening until about midnight. The chance of these storms around Tulsa is about a 40%, but closer to a 60% in areas northwest of the city tonight.

Far eastern and southeastern Oklahoma may see thunderstorms late, but the severe threat is very low as more stable air resides in these areas.
