A water main break in Broken Arrow disrupted traffic for parents taking children to school and causing a drop in water pressure across the city early Friday.

Crews are working to fix the break in the 24-inch line near Pittsburg and Olive.  The city says it is a line that serves most of the west side of Broken Arrow.

The break happened right by a school bus stop and caused some traffic problems as well as problems the pressure problem.

A resident said a neighbor reported it after seeing water coming through her fence.

"A car hit the puddle and a big splash came over the fence and she saw it, then we saw traffic slowing down, so it must have broken right then, because then we didn't have any water," said Jim Rieder.

The city says their latest estimate calls for the water main to be repaired some time Friday afternoon.

Broken Arrow was able to isolate the break, bringing up the water pressure across the city.  Right now, they say they have only five or six customers totally without water.
