Oklahoma State improved to 4-2 with a 38-31 comeback win over Iowa State at Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Iowa State took a quick 3-0 lead, but Jhajuan Seals answered back for the Cowboys with a 33-yard touchdown to help OSU claim a 7-3 advantage.

The Cowboys' lead was short lived as Cyclones' Anthony Lazard caught a three-yard reception, helping his team once again control the game.

OSU shifted momentum and capitalized off of a turnover, turning it into a score from Justice Hill to put the Cowboys up 14-10.

Shortly before halftime, Iowa State scored on a one-yard rush to carry a 17-14 lead into intermission.

At this point, Iowa State had all cylinders clicking and OSU wasn't effectively containing them on offense nor defense.

The Cyclones opened the second half with a 35-yard scoring connection from Joel Lanning to Trever Ryen putting Iowa State ahead 24-14.

The Cyclones quickly increased the score 31-14 when Lanning found Lazard for another touchdown.

With 5:55 left in the third quarter, Iowa State was rolling and winning on both sides of the ball as Mason Rudolph struggled to hit his targets and get the offense going. That was until he found James Washington in the end zone for seven, making it a 31-21 ball game.

The score gave the Cowboys the boost they needed as they found their rhythm.

OSU crept within a three-point deficit when Rudolph found Jalen McCleskey for his third touchdown pass, making it 31-28 early in the final quarter.

After capitalizing off two turnovers and two forced punts, OSU reenergized the crowd as they cheered the Cowboys onto a 31-all game with a field goal from Ben Grogan.

During the final stretch, the Cowboys took a 38-31 lead and maintained it to claim victory over the Cyclones.
