Less than a month before the presidential election, some Republicans are pulling their endorsements of Donald Trump.

And that’s getting the attention of Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine, who is making national headlines after saying he'll pull support for House Speaker Paul Ryan if Ryan doesn't campaign for Trump.

The congressman said he's not happy with fellow Republicans who aren’t supporting their nominee.

Bridenstine started it Wednesday with a tweet saying, "Given the stakes of this election, if Paul Ryan isn't for Trump, then I'm not for Paul Ryan."

The congressman listened in on a conference call with Ryan on the other line. After hearing Ryan will not support Donald Trump, Bridenstine said his support for the house leader would be out too.

"Republicans have to understand that this is bigger than Donald Trump, it's bigger than Paul Ryan, it's bigger than any one of us who serve in the House of Representatives. What's at stake here is literally the country," he said.

Democrats like State House Representative Jeannie McDaniel want her elected congressman to put the fight over endorsements aside.

"So, how Congressman Bridenstine feels about the Trump situation and what's going on in his own party. I don't really think it's important to voters in his district right now,” McDaniel Said. “I think we want to know what he's going to do for us and how he's going to help us have a better life after the election."

Several house republicans pulled their endorsements for Trump following comments the nominee made last week towards women.

Bridenstine calls Trump's hot-mic comments horrific and said there's no defending those words.

A year ago, Bridenstine rallied in Tulsa for Ted Cruz, but eventually backed Trump when it came time to support the nominee.

"And if those are the two options, given what is at stake with the Supreme Court, the southern border of the United States and Obamacare, I'll be standing with Donald Trump," the congressman said.

Governor Mary Fallin also called Trump's comments unacceptable but hasn't pulled her endorsement for the nominee.
