One of Oklahoma's Own was recognized for his heroics after pulling a mother and her baby from a wrecked car in danger of catching fire.
Retired now, First Lieutenant Joshua Farrell was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, at the time.
Farrell received "The Soldier's Medal."
