BA Mother Convicted Of Child Abuse By Munchausen By Proxy
BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - A Broken Arrow mom accused of hurting her daughter to get attention, is on her way to prison.
Victoria Lee was arrested in 2013 for child abuse by Munchausen Syndrome by proxy.
The jury convicted Lee Thursday evening and recommended an eight-year prison sentence and $5,000 fine.
Prosecutors say Victoria Lee, 38, needlessly put her daughter through multiple medical procedures that were not necessary. According to court documents, the girl underwent six MRIs, each of which required anesthesia, a spinal tap, EKGs, CT scans, bladder studies and physical therapy sessions.
