After an unseasonably warm and windy first half of our weekend, many of us are in for a very brief, but very noticeable cool-down for our Sunday.

A cold front will very slowly move across eastern Oklahoma today, moving south of Tulsa before stalling out somewhere near the I-40 corridor by the afternoon hours.

Increasingly cloudy conditions are expected to develop from near Tulsa and particularly further north across far northeast Oklahoma, but much sunnier skies are likely to remain across southeast Oklahoma.

The combination of this front and clouds will likely lead to a noticeable range of temperatures from north to south by the afternoon hours; lower 70s appear likely around the Tulsa metro by mid to late afternoon but some locations closer the Oklahoma/Kansas border could see afternoon temperatures hold mainly in the 60s.

However, south of the front skies are expected to remain much sunnier and very warm afternoon highs in the 80s are still expected across southeast Oklahoma, so be aware that there will be a noticeable difference in our weather today depending on if you're north of Tulsa or south of Tulsa.

That front will quickly dissipate later tonight, and as we head into Halloween Monday, the spring-like warmth will surge back very quickly across eastern Oklahoma. Some fog could hang around early Halloween morning, but much sunnier skies are expected the rest of the day.

Sunshine and a return to very breezy south winds will push our Halloween afternoon temperatures back into the mid-80s, which is near record territory. It will remain pretty warm for the kids as they go trick or treating Halloween evening, and you might want to make sure they don't get too hot in their costumes.

The unseasonable warmth will continue into Tuesday, but, as we approach mid-week we start to see some changes arrive in the form of more clouds and a few scattered showers or storms, which will help our temperatures trend slowly back down to more seasonable values by mid to late week.
