A judge dismissed charges against a Broken Arrow man accused of stealing a taxidermied polar bear.

Game wardens had confiscated the polar bear from Bryan Adair at Jones Riverside Airport on August 4th, saying Adair did not have the proper permits to have it.

The bear was legally harvested in Hope, Alaska in 1969 by Bill Gilstrap and kept on display in a hangar at the airport.

Gilstrap’s family claimed it belonged to them and that Adair stole it when their loved one died.
