Kevin Durant scored a game-high 39 points as the Golden State Warriors took down the Thunder 122-96 on Thursday night inside of Oracle Arena.

With the loss, OKC now falls to 4-1 on the season and will have a chance to get back on track against the Timberwolves on Saturday night at home.

It looked like the Thunder came to play early on as OKC went up 29-19 after Jerami Grant elevated for a poster dunk over Durant, but that flush seemed to wake up the Warriors.

Durant absolutely took over the game with his scoring ability, knocking down one outside jumper after another while Golden State’s offense really found its rhythm.

While the Warriors were thriving, OKC struggled to make baskets, especially without Westbrook on the court. With Durant leading the way, the Warriors closed the first half on a 42-19 run following Grant’s dunk at the end of the first quarter.

With Golden State leading by 25 to start the second half, most of the Thunder’s starters sat for a big chunk of the second half as the Warriors picked up a dominating home win.

Westbrook finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds and 10 assists, while Victor Oladipo led the Thunder in scoring with 21 points of his own. Steven Adams had a pretty good game in a losing effort, hitting 5-of-7 field goal attempts for 11 points and four rebounds. Fellow big man, Enes Kanter, only played three minutes and missed his only shot attempt.

Steph Curry scored 21 points for Golden State while Klay Thompson added 18 of his own.

The two teams will meet again on January 18 in Oakland.
