Downtown Tulsa is growing, and so is the demand for downtown living.

On Sunday, you’re invited to take a look at some new apartment options.

The Tulsa skyline is diverse and eclectic; and now, many of the buildings are being transformed into apartments.

Amanda Decort with the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture said, “There is a lot of variety in what is available downtown, and this is a fun way to see them all in one fell swoop.”

On Sunday, 13 properties will open their doors to the public for the fourth annual Dwell in the IDL tour.

“A lot of them are apartments that people actually live in, so it’s a home tour - the home tour. You get to see what it’s like to live downtown,” Decort said.

The Meridia at 6th and Boston is an overhaul of the property that used to be the Enterprise building. There will be more than 90 apartments - most with balconies that overlook Chapman Park.

Hunt Hawkins with River City Development said, “It’s our coming out party. Took the façade off the building, the dark glass, the Darth Vader building, and we’ve been tearing it down and we are ready to just start showing it.”

Then, there is the Edge at East Village - a brand new building on a full city block at 2nd and Greenwood with more than 160 apartments, a pool and gated/covered parking.

“We think there is a market for that. We think that people want to create a lifestyle where they don’t ever leave their community. We are in a walkable neighborhood so we are really excited about that,” said Amber Bayles with American Residential Group.

And it is a chance for the visionaries behind the projects to show off their work a little.

“All of the developers who are working to bring downtown Tulsa back to life, this is an opportunity for them to showcase their properties and what they’ve done. Some of them are very traditional, and some are very contemporary," Decort said.

The tour is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You can find more information here.
