A man is in jail after shooting at Owasso and Claremore police officers and leading them in a high-speed chase overnight. Police say the man was driving more than 100 miles an hour and wearing only underwear.

Officers first tried to stop a blue Ford-F150 on 116th Street North in Owasso for driving nearly 60 miles per hour over the speed limit.
They say the driver, 26-year-old Kyle Linscomb, sped away.

He then fired a gun at officers through his back windshield.

"Someone who's trying to hurt an officer - that kind of tells you their mindset and what a danger they might be to the public," said Owasso Police Department Deputy Chief Jason Woodruff.

Police chased Linscomb through Claremore, and that city's officers also joined in on the pursuit. Owasso Police say the suspect fired shots at Claremore officers as well. Rogers County deputies helped out, using stop sticks to deflate Linscomb's tires.

"When one agency's in need, there usually never a shortage of other agencies that send people to us to help and in this case, it was no different than any of those," Woodruff said.

The driver jumped out of the truck and ran into a wooded area.

Officers used helicopters and K9s to track Linscomb down and arrest him around 2:30 a.m. Deputies said Linscomb appeared to on drugs and was wearing underwear when they arrested him.

"Definitely, you know, a concerning situation, but I think it ended as well as it could have," the deputy chief said.

Linscomb was booked in the Rogers County Jail.
